Job summary

EQUANS is seeking a Maintenance Assistant for Pinderfields & Pontefract Hospital in Wakefield. The role is permanent part-time with a 4 days on / 4 days off pattern from 07:00 to 19:00, within the Technical Services team.

You will perform planned and reactive maintenance on lighting, water, heating, and building fabric, ensuring safe, compliant operations. You will work with electrical, mechanical, plumbing and joinery trades, assist external contractors, and help maintain records and HTM 04-01

Qualifications

• GCSE/O Level Maths & English or equivalent.
• General maintenance experience.
• DBS clearance or ability to obtain clearance.

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned preventive maintenance on lighting, water and heating services.
• Perform reactive maintenance and minor repairs to building fabric and services.
• Liaise with hospital staff on a daily basis and assist external contractors.
• Maintain accurate records and service reports in line with HTM and QA requirements.
