Job summary

We Are With You in Shrewsbury is seeking a Hospital Link Worker on a fixed-term contract, based at Royal Shrewsbury Hospital, to support clients in identifying goals and creating personalised treatment plans to support recovery. You will help develop inpatient and outpatient services as part of the Drug and Alcohol team, with occasional Saturday work.

A full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle are required.

Qualifications

• Compassionate, motivated individual with demonstrable experience in health, social care, criminal justice or a clear motivation for the drug and alcohol sector.
• Ability to take basic health checks (height, weight, pulse, blood pressure) is essential.
• Highly organised with excellent communication skills and time management.

Responsibilities

• Support clients to identify goals and create the best treatment plan.
• Guide clients on their path to recovery and develop inpatient/outpatient services.
• Establish and maintain a quality hospital liaison service at Royal Shrewsbury Hospital.
• Collaborate as part of the Drug and Alcohol team.
