The Forward Trust is seeking a Recovery Worker in Shropshire to deliver person-centred drug and alcohol recovery support. You will work with clients to develop personalised plans and access psychosocial interventions, in collaboration with healthcare professionals and partner agencies.

The role requires compassionate, non-judgemental communication, strong interpersonal skills, and flexibility to cover shifts, including evenings and weekends.

Qualifications

• Compassionate, non-judgemental and person-centred approach.
• Genuine interest in supporting people affected by drug/alcohol use.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to build relationships.
• Ability to work collaboratively with healthcare professionals and agencies.
• Good organisational skills and ability to manage priorities.
• Flexible and adaptable to service needs.
• Willingness to travel to other projects within the cluster with notice.

Responsabilités

• Deliver person-centred drug and alcohol treatment and recovery interventions.
• Support service users to engage with psychosocial interventions and structured programmes.
• Work with partners to support SHIC service at HMP Stoke Heath.
• Build effective relationships with partner agencies to promote joined-up care.
• Contribute to service targets and measure client outcomes.
• Promote recovery and wellbeing through client-focused support.
• Work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
• Provide support across other cluster projects as required.
