Royal Voluntary Service is hiring a Retail Customer Assistant at Worcester Royal Hospital. This part‑time, permanent role offers 6 hours per week with weekends and bank holidays. You’ll deliver friendly service, handle tills, and maintain shop standards in a hospital cafe/shop setting.

The role requires a positive attitude, good communication, basic literacy/numeracy, and a willingness to train and develop. Salary is £12.71 per hour (£23,136 FTE per annum).

Formación

• Previous experience in a retail or cafe environment would be advantageous, but training will be given
• Ability to deliver outstanding customer service
• Excellent communications skills
• Demonstrates a high level of organisational skills
• Familiarity with email and internet is required
• Flexible approach towards working hours
• Enjoying working within a passionate team of employees and volunteers
• Proficient literacy and numeracy
• Knowledge of EPOS / till systems would be advantageous
• Knowledge and experience of general administrative processes

Responsabilidades

• Welcoming customers and taking orders and payments
• Preparing hot and cold drinks (Café)
• Serving freshly made food such as cake, sandwiches, and pastries (Café)
• Operating the till and cash reconciliation
• Receive deliveries, rotate stock, and assist with stock checks
• Engage with volunteers to lead by example
• Maintain cleanliness and health and safety standards
• Role may involve pushing loaded trolleys of stock
