Job summary

Hope House Children’s Hospices in Oswestry is seeking a Health Care Support Worker to join a team delivering compassionate care to children with life-threatening conditions. The role is full-time or part-time, with 12.5 hour shifts, under supervision of a registered nurse.

We offer £25,596 - £28,173 per annum FTE, generous annual leave, NHS pension or organisational pension, wellbeing support, cycle-to-work, flexible hours and development opportunities.

Qualifications

• You will have previous experience of care work, particularly with children or young people and/or complex needs.
• You will have the compassion and communication skills to put the needs of the child and their family at the heart of everything you do.

Responsibilities

• Provide high quality care in accordance with the child/young person’s care plan under supervision of a registered nurse.
• Participate in play, recreational and learning activities in collaboration with play leaders.
• Assist in checking and administration of medicines under supervision of Registered Nurses.
