Job summary

Hope House Children’s Hospices invites applications for a Health Care Support Worker in Oswestry. The role offers full-time or part-time hours (37.5 or 25 per week) with twelve-and-a-half-hour shifts, and a competitive salary of £25,596 - £28,173 FTE depending on experience.

The post delivers compassionate, holistic care to children and young people with complex needs, in partnership with families, and requires prior care experience. A range of benefits and development opportunities are provided.

Qualifications

• Experience in care work, especially with children or young people would be advantageous.
• Ability to work with life-threatening conditions in a family-centered approach.
• Willingness to learn and adhere to care plans and safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Provide holistic care to children and young people with complex, life-threatening conditions.
• Support families and work in partnership with the child and family to meet needs with dignity and privacy.
• Assist in medicines administration under supervision and participate in related training.
