Job description

We are looking for a dedicated, compassionate and experienced individual to join the Homes for Ukraine Team as a Delivery Officer with a focus on housing support.

The Homes for Ukraine scheme was launched in March 2022 and supports individuals fleeing the war in Ukraine to come to the UK. Nottinghamshire County Council continues to receive arrivals (guests) who may live with a host for 6 months or longer. The Council has been given key responsibilities by the Government in managing the scheme including essential checks on host and accommodation suitability, payments to hosts, school places, housing support when relationships breakdown, service referral/signposting, support with work, benefits and community integration.

Duties will include:
  • Managing a caseload of 'active' guests in need of housing support.
  • Conducting means assessments of guests' affordability for private rent.
  • Supporting guests to make applications for the Social Housing register.
  • Conducting searches for private rented properties and matching these to appropriate guest households.
