A regional governmental body in the UK is seeking a dedicated Delivery Officer to join their Homes for Ukraine Team. This role involves supporting vulnerable individuals, particularly refugees seeking housing. The ideal candidate will manage a caseload of guests requiring housing assistance, conduct affordability assessments, and facilitate applications for social housing. Strong interpersonal skills and experience in housing services are essential. This position offers an opportunity to make a significant impact in the community.
We are looking for a dedicated, compassionate and experienced individual to join the Homes for Ukraine Team as a Delivery Officer with a focus on housing support.
The Homes for Ukraine scheme was launched in March 2022 and supports individuals fleeing the war in Ukraine to come to the UK. Nottinghamshire County Council continues to receive arrivals (guests) who may live with a host for 6 months or longer. The Council has been given key responsibilities by the Government in managing the scheme including essential checks on host and accommodation suitability, payments to hosts, school places, housing support when relationships breakdown, service referral/signposting, support with work, benefits and community integration.
The role will be primarily focused around housing and providing 1-1 casework to guests in need of move on accommodation from their hosting arrangements.
