Job summary

Sanctuary Supported Living is seeking a compassionate Project Worker to join our homelessness services in Chelmsford. You will support people experiencing homelessness, assess needs, and act as the first point of contact while building respectful relationships with service users and external partners.

The role offers part-time hours, a supportive team, and opportunities for training and career development within a reputable not-for-profit organisation.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting adults who have experienced homelessness.
• Positive, flexible and enthusiastic approach.
• Able to work well in a team and independently.
• Strong organisational skills with good literacy and numeracy.
• NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care or willingness to work towards it.
• Proficient technology/IT skills (Microsoft Office and similar).

Responsibilities

• Support customers who have experienced homelessness to build independence and reach their potential.
• Assess needs and update support plans.
• Act as the first point of contact for customer queries.
• Build positive relationships that respect choice, privacy and dignity.
• Work with external partners to boost confidence, health and wellbeing, and encourage education and employment.
