Job summary

Haringey Council is seeking an experienced housing professional to lead a frontline Housing Needs team, delivering homelessness prevention and assessment services. As a Team Manager you will oversee legally compliant assessments under the Housing Act 1996, drive prevention-focused customer service, and work with internal teams and external partners to maximise positive outcomes for residents.

You'll shape service delivery, manage complex caseloads, and lead on enforcement related to Renters'

Qualifications

• Extensive knowledge of homelessness legislation, housing allocations and enforcement duties.
• Experience leading teams in a frontline housing or homelessness service.
• Strong partnership building across public, private and third sectors.
• Ability to handle complex cases, legal challenges and high-risk decisions.
• Excellent communication, analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proactive approach to service improvement and change.
