Job summary

Nottingham Community Housing Association Ltd is seeking a Service Manager for its Homelessness Service (Gedling Grove) in Nottingham. You will lead a team delivering a short‑term accommodation service and drive improvements in client experience, partnerships and performance.

You will manage a 10+ team, oversee supervision and development, monitor KPIs, and ensure compliance with local procedures while promoting a positive CLEAR culture across the division.

Qualifications

• Substantial experience working in a social care or supported housing environment particularly with Mental Health needs and behaviours that can challenge.
• Comprehensive knowledge of homelessness‑related issues and the needs of our client group.
• Proven ability to work effectively at supervisory level and manage people’s performance and development.
• A solid understanding of the needs of people from diverse social, cultural and racial backgrounds.
• Experience supporting change within a team or service.
• Strong numeracy, literacy and IT skills.

Responsibilities

• Head up a team of people who manage day‑to‑day delivery and development of the service.
• Ensure an excellent customer experience.
• Develop a strong multi‑agency hub working with Health visitors, social workers, probation service, etc.
• Lead and support, including supervisions, development and performance management.
• Represent the service at operational, strategic and multi‑agency meetings.
• Identify opportunities to enhance the service through charitable grants.
• Promote a positive, inclusive culture aligned to NCHA’s CLEAR values.
