Homeless Prevention Coordinator

Location : Coventry Salary : £17-18 per hour Umbrella DOE Contract : Full-time, Temporary to Permanent

About the Role

We are seeking a motivated and compassionate Homeless Prevention Coordinator to lead a dedicated team supporting young people aged 18-24 who are homeless or at risk of homelessness. This role is central to ensuring high-quality, coordinated support and effective prevention of youth homelessness through assessment, mediation, and partnership working.

Key Responsibilities of a Homeless Prevention Coordinator
  • Manage and support the Homeless Prevention Team to deliver effective housing advice, prevention, and relief duties.
  • Oversee comprehensive assessments of housing and support needs to prevent homelessness where safe to do so.
  • Develop and monitor Personal Housing Plans, ensuring young people engage with agreed actions.
  • Undertake investigations into housing and personal history on behalf of the local authority, including eligibility and priority need assessments.
  • Build strong partnerships with local authorities, statutory services, and voluntary agencies to achieve positive outcomes.
