Job summary

Specsavers is seeking a Home Visits Optical Assistant to bring eye care to patients in their homes across Essex. You will dispense lenses and deliver clinical care while navigating a variety of testing environments, with proximity to home in mind.

Applicants must hold a full UK driving licence and have optical experience. The role offers training, development opportunities, and competitive benefits in a flexible home-visit setting.

You’ll be driving our services to the doorsteps of the nation, providing eye care to the people who are unable to come into our stores. Not only do you help them with their sight, you’ll also be bringing smiles and clinical care into the heart of your community.

The job is varied: you’ll work in a range of locations and testing environments every day – no two days are the same. Our region covers the whole of Essex, but our ever-expanding team is scattered across the region so we will always aim to keep you as close to home as possible, although there may be times you will have to cover anywhere within the Essex region.

We can only consider candidates who hold a full UK driving licence and can confidently dispense lenses at all levels.

• Salary: up to £29,000 per annum (pro rata) DOE (combined package of up to £35,000 per annum - pro rata)

What we’re looking for?
