Job summary

Specsavers is seeking a Home Visits Optical Assistant to travel across Essex, visiting patients at their homes to provide eye care and dispensing services. You will contribute to patient care by delivering professional optical support in community settings.

The role requires a full UK driving licence and involves dispensing at all levels, with training and development opportunities provided by Specsavers.

Qualifications

• Current or recent optical experience (at least 6 months–1 year) and you must be able to confidently dispense at all levels.
• You must hold a full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Dis dispense lenses to the required level during home visits.
• Visit patients at their homes across Essex to provide eye care and clinical support.
• Support patients with eye care guidance and follow-up where needed.

The job is varied: you’ll work in a range of locations and testing environments every day – no two days are the same. Our region covers the whole of Essex, but our ever-expanding team is scattered across the region so we will always aim to keep you as close to home as possible, although there may be times you will have to cover anywhere within the Essex region.

We can only consider candidates who hold a full UK driving licence and can confidently dispense lenses at all levels.

What we’re looking for?
