Job summary

Specsavers is seeking a Home Visits Optical Assistant to bring eye care to patients at their homes across North Wales. You’ll travel to a range of locations and testing environments, delivering clinical care and friendly service in the community.

You must hold a full UK driving licence and be able to confidently dispense lenses at all levels. The role offers training and a benefits package including a company car or car allowance and a pension.

  • Current or recent optical experience (6 months–1 year) and you must be able to confidently dispense at all levels.
  • You must hold a full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

  • Drive to patients’ homes across North Wales to provide eye care and dispense lenses at all levels.
  • Deliver clinical care and support to vulnerable patients in their own homes.
  • Work across a variety of testing environments and locations within the region.

You’ll be driving our services to the doorsteps of the nation, providing essential eye care to the people who are unable to come into our stores. Not only do you help them with their sight, you’ll also be bringing smiles and clinical care into the heart of your community.

The job is varied: you’ll work in a range of locations and testing environments every day – no two days are the same. Our region covers North Wales, and while we will always aim to keep you as close to home as possible, there may be times you will have to cover anywhere within our territory.

We can only consider candidates who hold a full UK driving licence and can confidently dispense lenses at all levels for this role.

What we’re looking for?

If this is still sounding like a bit of you, we do need you to have a few skills to get started as a Home Visits Optical Assistant.These include:

  • Current or recent optical experience (at least 6 months-1 year) and you must be able to confidently dispense at all levels
  • You must hold a full UK driving licence
