Job summary

Specsavers is seeking a Home Visits Optical Assistant to deliver eye care by visiting patients at their homes across the Essex region. You’ll bring clinical support, dispense lenses confidently, and help patients with their sight on the go.

This role offers flexible part-time hours (3 days per week, 9am-6pm), a pro rata package with up to £35,000, plus a £3,000 car allowance and a bonus based on performance. A full UK driving licence is required.

• Current or recent optical experience (6 months–1 year).
• Must hold a full UK driving licence.

You’ll be driving our services to the doorsteps of the nation, providing eye care to the people who are unable to come into our stores. Not only do you help them with their sight, you’ll also be bringing smiles and clinical care into the heart of your community.

The job is varied: you’ll work in a range of locations and testing environments every day – no two days are the same. Our region covers the whole of Essex, but our ever-expanding team is scattered across the region so we will always aim to keep you as close to home as possible, although there may be times you will have to cover anywhere within the Essex region.

We can only consider candidates who hold a full UK driving licence and can confidently dispense lenses at all levels.

What we’re looking for?

• Current or recent optical experience (at least 6 months-1 year) and you must be able to confidently dispense at all levels
• You must hold a full UK driving licence
