Job summary

Red Dot Search UK Limited is recruiting a Trainee Claims Handler for the Home Insurance team in Bolton (BL7). The role offers a starting salary of £24,479, a 35-hour week from Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm, and no evenings or weekends.

No prior claims experience is required as full training will be provided, including funded CII qualifications and on-site parking. You will handle home insurance claims, coordinate trades, keep customers updated, and learn the trade with clear progression through

Qualifications

• Customer service experience in contact centre, complaints, admin, retail or hospitality.
• Organised, accurate and able to handle own workload.
• GCSEs English and Maths (C/4 or above) and full driving licence with own transport.

Responsibilities

• Take home insurance claims when they first come in (escape of water, storm, accidental damage, theft).
• Check policy coverage and gather what is needed to move each claim forward.
• Coordinate trades and suppliers who fix things for customers.
• Keep customers updated clearly and honestly until settlement.
• Spot anything suspicious and refer it for review.
