Job summary

Red Dot Search UK Limited in Bolton is seeking a Trainee Claims Handler for motor insurance. No prior insurance experience required; you will be trained with full funding for CII qualifications and a dedicated in-house trainer. Work 35 hours, Monday to Friday, 9am–5pm, on-site with hybrid options after probation.

You will manage motor claims by phone and in writing, learn liability concepts, and support policyholders and brokers while developing a professional trade in insurance.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience in any form is acceptable.
• Must be good on the phone and stay calm under pressure.
• Organised, accurate, and able to learn new computer systems.
• GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths (grade C/4 or above).
• Willing to work towards CII Certificate; funded in work time.

Responsibilities

• Take motor claims when they come in and establish details.
• Manage a caseload of claims by phone and written correspondence.
• Be the primary contact for policyholders and brokers.
• Learn how liability works and determine fault where applicable.
• Flag any issues or irregularities as they arise.
