Job summary

Trinity Claims in Tonbridge seeks a Home Claims Team Leader to oversee the day-to-day operation of our ground movement team, ensuring fair customer outcomes and sound governance. You will manage Senior Specialists and Handlers, drive performance on productivity, service and complaints, and coach staff to maintain high technical and behavioral standards in a fast-paced claims environment.

The role offers a £40-45k salary (DOE) with market-leading benefits, and on-site facilities supporting FCA

Qualifications

• Significant experience within household insurance claims.
• 2+ years experience leading operational teams and developing handlers.
• Strong understanding of claims handling, customer service and complaint management.
• Experience using management information to drive operational performance.
• Strong understanding of governance, risk management and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the day-to-day operation, balancing customers, colleagues and business objectives.
• Deliver operational performance across productivity, service, quality, complaints and claim progression metrics.
• Maintain oversight of workloads, capacity, performance trends and risks.
• Ensure claims are actively progressed and barriers to resolution are addressed promptly.
• Translate business priorities into objectives for the team and provide performance updates to senior stakeholders.
• Coach and develop the team to deliver high standards of performance and engagement.
• Promote accountability and continuous improvement across the operation.
• Identify capability gaps and implement development plans for technical and behavioural growth.
