Job summary

Care South is seeking Home Care Assistants to support clients in their own homes across Somerset. You will deliver person-centred care, promote independence, and work as part of a compassionate team.

A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle are essential. We offer paid travel time, a generous mileage allowance of 40p per mile, paid induction and training, and a contributory pension.

Qualifications

• Must hold a full UK driving licence and have access to a vehicle.
• Enhanced DBS on update service or willing to undertake one.
• 18 years or older.
• Flexible in hours and able to work every other weekend.
• Previous experience in a care setting is desirable but not required.

Responsibilities

• Deliver person-centred care to clients in their own homes.
• Support clients to build confidence and remain independent.
• Provide high-quality care while upholding dignity and respect.
• Assist with personal care such as hygiene, toileting and dressing.

Job description

This Home Care Assistants role is a community based, it is essential applicants hold a driving licence and have access to a vehicle. As a Home Care Assistant with Care South, we ensure you are paid for not just your contact time but also your travel time. On top of this we pay a generous mileage rate of 40p per mile.

• Previous experience in a care setting is desirable but not required
• You will have a full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle.
• Flexible in the hours you can work and ability to work every other weekend
• Strong attention to detail and reporting skills
• Able to work independently and as part of a team
• You will hold an enhanced DBS on the update service or prepared to undertake one.

• You must be 18 years or older.
