Job summary

Care South in Bridport is looking for a Home Care Assistant to provide person-centred care to clients in their own homes. You will deliver care and support, assist with daily living tasks, and help clients maintain independence, with paid travel time and a mileage allowance.

The role offers up to 20 hours per week with shifts 07:00–14:00 and/or 16:00–22:00, requires a valid UK driving licence and access to a vehicle, and includes induction, training, and a range of staff benefits.

Qualifications

• You will hold a full UK driving licence and have access to a vehicle.
• You must be flexible in hours and able to work alternate weekends.
• You should be capable of working independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Deliver person-centred care to clients in their own homes.
• Assist with personal care, hygiene, toileting and dressing.
• Support clients to maintain independence and confidence.
• Report accurately and maintain detailed records.

About The Role

Role: Home Care Assistant

Location: Bridport

Pay: £13.50 - £15.50 per hour

Travel: £12.71 per hour + 40p per mile mileage allowance

Hours: Up to 20 hours per week, to include a variety of shifts and alternate weekends

Shift Pattern: 07:00 - 14:00 and/or 16:00 - 22:00

This Home Care Assistants role is community-based; it is essential applicants hold a driving licence and have access to a vehicle.

About you:

• Previous experience in a care setting is desirable but not required
• You will have a full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle
• Flexible in the hours you can work and ability to work every other weekend
• Strong attention to detail and reporting skills
• Able to work independently and as part of a team
• You will hold an enhanced DBS on the update service or be prepared to undertake one
