Job summary

Care South in Bridport is seeking a Home Care Assistant to join our West Dorset Care at Home team, delivering person-centred care in clients’ homes and supporting independence.

Pay is £13.50–£15.50 per hour with 40p per mile mileage and paid travel time. Hours up to 20 per week with shifts 07:00–14:00 and/or 16:00–22:00, and alternate weekends.

Qualifications

• Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle.
• Strong attention to detail and reporting skills.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team.

About The Role

Role: Home Care Assistant

Location: Bridport

Pay: £13.50 - £15.50 per hour

Travel: £12.71 per hour + 40p per mile mileage allowance

Hours: Up to 20 hours per week, to include a variety of shifts and alternate weekends

Shift Pattern: 07:00 - 14:00 and/or 16:00 - 22:00

As a Home Care Assistant with Care South, we ensure you are paid for not just your contact time but also your travel time. On top of this we pay a generous mileage rate of 40p per mile.

This Home Care Assistants role is a community based, it is essential applicants hold a driving licence and have access to a vehicle.

About you:

• Previous experience in a care setting is desirable but not required
• You will have a full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle.
• Flexible in the hours you can work and ability to work every other weekend
• Strong attention to detail and reporting skills
• Able to work independently and as part of a team
• You will hold an enhanced DBS on the update service or prepared to undertake one.
