Job summary

The RAC is seeking a proactive Roadside Technician to join our Patrol division. You’ll diagnose faults, perform roadside repairs, and provide confident reassurance to members across the UK, start-to-finish from home base to roadside call-outs.

You’ll work around 40 hours per week with demand-led shifts and optional overtime. A Level 2 Light Vehicle Maintenance qualification and 2+ years’ experience are required, along with a full UK driving licence.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance is required.
• 2+ years’ experience as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic.
• Full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points.

Responsibilities

• Provide mechanical roadside repair and diagnostics.
• Offer emergency breakdown support across the UK.
• Diagnose faults and carry out repairs using supplied tools and diagnostic kit.
