Job summary

RAC is seeking a Roadside Technician to deliver expert roadside repair, diagnostics, and emergency breakdown support across the UK, with day-to-day work focused in the Bournemouth cluster. You’ll start and finish at home as part of a local operations team.

You’ll receive a RAC van, fuel card, full uniform, essential tools, and a diagnostic kit to tackle faults and keep members on the move.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent) with 2+ years’ experience.
• 5+ years’ experience as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic.
• Full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points.

Responsibilities

• Deliver expert roadside repair, diagnostics, and emergency breakdown support across the UK.
• Start and finish your day at home, working in your local area.
• Provide quick, confident solutions and reassurance to RAC members on the roadside.
