Job summary

You will join RAC as a Roadside Technician, covering a wide UK area and delivering expert roadside repair, diagnostics, and emergency breakdown support to members. You’ll begin and finish each day from home, operating within your local patch and contributing to fast, confident service on the roadside.

Your role blends hands-on vehicle expertise with outstanding member service, supporting drivers through fault finding, tyre changes, battery work, and diagnostics across diverse locations.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 qualification in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent) with 2+ years’ experience
• 5+ years’ experience as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic
• A full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points

Responsibilities

• Deliver expert roadside repair and diagnostics across the UK
• Provide emergency breakdown support and quick, confident solutions
• Start and end your day at home, coordinating from your local area

Education
