Zusammenfassung

Egis in the United Kingdom is seeking a Principal Engineer (P&C) to lead, review, assess and approve Protection and Control design submissions for National Grid and DNO projects. You will work with DNOs, Contractors, and internal Engineering and Design teams to ensure timely delivery of safe, reliable, and compliant HV designs.

Experience of the UK Electricity Transmission and/or Distribution System is preferable, and willingness to travel across the UK is expected.

Qualifikationen

• HNC or degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Systems or related field.
• Proven experience in P&C design, design assurance or technical approval within the Electricity Transmission and/or DNO sector.
• Strong knowledge of HV infrastructure, including substations, transformers, switchgear, and HV Cable.

Aufgaben

• Review and assess P&C design submissions for compliance with policies, procedures and engineering standards.
• Chair design review meetings and coordinate with contractors and internal teams to ensure timely delivery of safe, compliant designs.
• Identify potential risks and ensure mitigation measures, including safety by design and CDM awareness.
• Maintain records of design submissions, review comments, and approval decisions; prepare technical reports and assurance documentation.
