Job summary

Egis is a leading global engineering firm actively delivering Protection and Control design services for National Grid and DNO projects across the UK. The Principal Engineer will lead design reviews, ensure safety, reliability and compliance, and coordinate with internal teams and contractors to deliver approved designs.

Experience in UK Electricity Transmission and Distribution is preferred. This home-based role in the UK requires travel to project sites and Omnia offices as needed, with a

Qualifications

• HNC or Degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Systems, or a related discipline.
• Proven experience in P&C design, design assurance, or technical approval within Electricity Transmission and/or DNO sector.
• Strong knowledge of HV infrastructure including substations, transformers, and HV switchgear.

Responsibilities

• Review and assess P&C design submissions for compliance with policies, procedures and engineering standards.
• Provide detailed feedback and recommendations to address design gaps or risks.
• Chair design review meetings and coordinate with other engineering disciplines.
