Job summary

RAC is seeking a Roadside Technician to join our Patrol division. You’ll deliver expert roadside repair, diagnostics, and emergency breakdown support across the UK, starting and finishing from your home base while serving members in your local area.

You’ll join a development pathway with formal qualifications or hands-on progression, supporting growth and accreditation throughout your RAC career. A full UK driving licence is required with fewer than 6 points.

Qualifications

• Full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points.
• NVQ Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance or equivalent with 2+ years’ experience.
• 5+ years’ experience as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic is also acceptable.

Responsibilities

• Deliver roadside mechanical repairs, vehicle diagnostics, and emergency breakdown support across the UK.
• Assist members and provide quick, confident solutions on-call and at roadside.
