Job summary

Away Resorts, a dynamic and growing holiday park operator, is seeking a Maintenance Assistant for its UK resorts. You will keep accommodation and park facilities in tip-top condition, performing repairs, renewals and improvements across entrances, signage, fences and buildings.

As part of the Maintenance team you’ll undertake carpentry, groundswork, painting and general upkeep, with a flexible schedule including bank holidays and weekends.

Qualifications

• We will train you for the role and expect practical maintenance skills.
• Experience in domestic repairs such as tiling, painting, and lock repairs is preferred.
• Good knowledge of Health & Safety at work is required.

Responsibilities

• Carry out carpentry tasks: doors, windows, kitchen units, walls and floors, signage, roofs and gutters.
• Maintain park grounds: hedges, grass, landscaping, paving and fencing to high standards.
• Paint, decorate and tile as needed to keep facilities fresh and safe.
• Perform routine maintenance checks and repairs on changeover days with other trades where needed.
• Fix faults, replace light bulbs and troubleshoot locks as part of general upkeep.
• Support a team of holiday heroes to keep accommodation and park areas presentable.
