Job summary

Ermine Primary Academy in Lincoln is seeking a HLTA to work closely with individual pupils or groups to provide dedicated support and ensure full access to the curriculum. The role is 32.5 hours per week, term time plus 5 days, fixed-term until 31 August 2027, with Scale 5 pay (£29,542-£32,046 FTE) or actual pro-rata £22,290-£24,180.

Qualifications

• Completion of DFE Teaching Assistants Induction Programme, NVQ 2 or equivalent qualification or experience, and GCSE C or equivalent in English and Maths.

Responsibilities

• Plan, prepare and deliver a range of learning activities for individuals and groups aligned to children’s needs.
• Ensure learning activities are conducted in a positive atmosphere and learning objectives are met.
• Support pupils with social integration and encourage cooperative learning.
• Monitor and assess pupil progress, report achievements and provide guidance to support development.
• Adhere to all safeguarding policies and report concerns via appropriate channels.
