Job summary

Unique School Solutions are supporting a large secondary school in the S35 area of Sheffield, seeking two HLTA's to start ASAP. One post covers students aged 11-16; the other supports a specialist unit to reintegrate learners into mainstream classes. You will deliver pre-planned lessons and track pupil progress, liaising with staff and families.

The role offers term-time hours (Mon-Fri, 8am-4pm) with a day rate of £138 and potential permanent employment after 12 weeks for the right candidate.

Qualifications

• HLTA qualification.
• GCSE English and Maths grade C/4 or higher.
• Previous experience working in a school.
• Ability to build rapport with learners.
• Strong organisational and behavioural management skills.
• Ability to follow the class teacher's direction and use own initiative.

Responsibilities

• Deliver pre-planned lessons as required.
• Monitor and assess pupil development and progress.
• Liaise with teachers, parents and carers.
