Job summary

Woodfield School's Woodfield Education Centre (WEC) seeks an experienced HLTA to support and lead high-quality learning for secondary pupils with SEND. You will deliver planned activities, work with individuals, groups and classes, and help pupils build independence and achieve strong outcomes.

Qualifications

• Hold a recognised HLTA qualification/status.
• Experience of supporting children or young people in an educational setting.
• Good understanding of SEND and barriers to learning.
• Strong literacy and numeracy skills.
• Confident leading learning with individuals, groups and classes.
• Able to adapt activities and resources to meet individual pupils' needs.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Build positive and professional relationships with pupils.
• Work effectively and flexibly as part of a team.
• Strong commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
• Previous experience within a specialist SEND setting would be advantageous.
