Job summary

Academics is seeking a qualified Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) for a 2-form entry primary school in High Wycombe. You will play a senior role, supporting teaching and learning, and assisting with lesson planning and delivery.

The successful candidate will lead intervention groups, support assessment, and work collaboratively to ensure high standards of progress. Role starts September 2026, long-term contract with a competitive daily rate.

Qualifications

• HLTA qualification or equivalent
• Experience in a primary school setting
• Strong knowledge of the UK national curriculum
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team

Responsibilities

• Support the teaching staff in delivering high-quality lessons
• Lead intervention groups and provide additional support to students
• Contribute to planning and preparation of lessons to meet student needs
• Assist with assessment and evaluation of student progress
• Foster a safe, inclusive and stimulating learning environment
