Job summary

Castle Hill Infant and Junior Schools in Ipswich are seeking an enthusiastic HLTA to support our PPA and cover team, helping children with their learning, including those with SEND, under the direction of teachers and the SENDCo.

You will raise achievement, nurture social, emotional and cultural development, and contribute to our inclusive ethos and extra-curricular activities. The role reports to the HLTA Lead and is based at Castle Hill.

Qualifications

• HLTA status is advantageous but not essential.
• Strong literacy and numeracy skills are required.
• Experience delivering Learning Plans/EHCP targets for pupils.
• Clear awareness of safeguarding procedures, health and safety, and equal opportunities policies.

Responsibilities

• Deliver whole-class lessons as part of the PPA and cover team.
• Support children of all abilities individually and in small groups.
• Implement Learning Plans and EHCP targets for SEND pupils.
• Make progress notes and liaise with parents and class teachers.
