Job summary

Reeson Education is seeking a proactive Higher Level Teaching Assistant in Harrow to step up for 4 days a week (Tuesday to Friday) in a well-respected primary school. This role covers PPA time and supports teachers in planning and delivering engaging lessons, helping pupils stay focused and motivated.

The ideal candidate will have experience with primary-aged children, a positive and resilient approach, and the ability to work collaboratively with colleagues.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Teaching Assistance or equivalent experience working with special needs children.
• Experience working with primary-aged children is essential.
• A positive, resilient and caring approach to working with children.
• A team player who is reliable, enthusiastic and proactive.
• A firm but fair approach to behaviour management.

Responsibilities

• Cover PPA time, while the regular teachers plan, you will be in charge of their classes.
• Provide targeted support for children with a range of needs.
• Work collaboratively with teachers and colleagues to create a positive and inclusive learning environment.
• Support the school's values around anti-racism, equity and community engagement.
