HLTA - Maths (Alternative Provision)
Location: Burnley
Start Date: 5th January
Contract: Full-time, 5 days per week
Pay: 110 - 144.89 per day

Tradewind are seeking a dedicated and resilient Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) with a strong background in Maths to join a supportive Alternative Provision in the Burnley area. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone passionate about making a meaningful difference to young people who require a more personalised and nurturing educational environment.

About the Role
  • Deliver engaging and differentiated Maths lessons to a small class of up to 8 pupils.
  • Plan and prepare Maths learning activities in line with the curriculum and the needs of each learner.
  • Work collaboratively with the teaching team and support staff to create a positive, safe and structured learning environment.
  • Support pupils with SEMH needs and help them to re-engage with education.
  • Track progress, provide feedback, and contribute to pupil support plans when required.
About You
  • HLTA status (or equivalent experience delivering lessons).
  • Strong subject knowledge in Maths.
  • Experience working in alternative provisions, PRUs, SEN settings, or with pupils facing barriers to learning is highly desirable.
  • Excellent behaviour management skills and the ability to build positive, trusting relationships.
  • Patient, empathetic, and adaptable to individual learning needs.
