Job summary

Oakbridge School, part of Kedleston Group, in Birmingham, invites applications for an HLTA (Level 4) to lead Maths and Science interventions. This term-time, full-time permanent post offers a supportive team and the chance to help pupils overcome barriers to learning.

Salary ranges from £27,126 to £29,916 per year actual, with CPD opportunities and safeguarding commitments. Willingness to drive and work closely with teachers is essential.

Qualifications

• GCSE English and Maths at grade C/4 or above.
• Relevant Level 3 qualification (or above) and/or further study.
• Commitment to CPD and ongoing professional development.
• Full driving licence and willingness to complete school driver training.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent organisation with written, verbal and ICT skills.
• Experience in an educational setting (ideally specialist provision).
• Understanding of supporting pupils with learning needs, behaviour, or child development.
• Awareness of neurodiversity, trauma and ACEs.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate targeted Maths and Science interventions to help pupils overcome barriers to learning.
• Provide individual and small-group support, monitoring progress and achievement against goals.
• Collaborate with teachers and support staff to meet pupils’ additional learning needs.
• Ensure EHCP Section F provision is delivered effectively and consistently.
• Cover lessons when required to support staff absence, training or operational needs.
• Maintain accurate intervention records and contribute to external agency reporting.
