Job summary

Teaching Personnel Ltd is partnering with a Church of England primary school in Birkenhead to recruit a Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) starting January 2027. The role is full-time, term-time only, with a competitive salary via PAYE.

You will deliver planned lessons across KS1/KS2, support pupil progress, and lead interventions, working closely with teachers to plan and assess activities while upholding the school's Christian values.

Qualifications

• HLTA Status required or equivalent qualification.
• Experience in primary school setting essential.
• Experience delivering learning activities and interventions independently.

Responsibilities

• Deliver planned lessons across KS1 and KS2 when required.
• Support pupils individually and in groups to progress.
• Lead targeted interventions to raise attainment and progress.
• Work with teachers to plan, prepare and assess activities.
• Support pupils with a range of educational needs to help them reach potential.
• Contribute to wider life of the school and uphold Christian values.
