Job summary

Kedleston Group Ltd is seeking a Level 4 HLTA to lead Maths and Science interventions at Oakbridge School in Birmingham. You’ll support pupils, monitor progress, and work with teachers to plan targeted teaching.

The role includes covering lessons, maintaining records, and ensuring EHCP provisions are delivered. You’ll join a supportive team with ongoing CPD and a commitment to safeguarding and pupil wellbeing.

Qualifications

• GCSE English and Maths (Grade C/4 or above).
• Level 3 qualification or above and/or further study.
• Commitment to CPD and ongoing professional development
• Full driving licence and willingness to complete school driver training
• Experience in an educational setting (ideally specialist provision)
• Understanding of supporting pupils with learning needs, behaviour, or child development
• Awareness of neurodiversity, trauma and ACEs.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate targeted Maths and Science interventions to help pupils overcome barriers to learning.
• Provide individual and small-group support, monitoring progress and achievement against agreed goals.
• Work collaboratively with teachers and support staff to identify and meet pupils’ additional learning needs.
• Ensure EHCP Section F provision is delivered effectively and consistently.
• Cover lessons when required to support staff absence, training, or operational needs.
• Maintain accurate intervention records, contribute to external agency reporting, and promote safeguarding and wellbeing of all pupils.
