Job summary

Northbrook Primary Academy in Leyland is seeking a dedicated Higher-Level Teaching Assistant to join our caring staff. The role covers mornings as a Teaching Assistant and afternoons as HLTA covering PPA and release time, including absences and delivering extracurricular activities.

You will plan and deliver high-quality learning experiences, support assessment, develop resources, and contribute to a calm, supportive environment. Requirements include HLTA or NVQ Level 3 and ICT proficiency.

Qualifications

• HLTA or NVQ Level 3 or equivalent qualification.
• Ability to make effective use of ICT.
• Professional development relevant to the post.
• Experience with the Microsoft Office suite particularly Excel and Word.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver high-quality learning experiences tailored to whole class and groups.
• Support the assessment of pupils, developing resources and the learning environment.
• Cover absences in the first instance and deliver extra-curricular activities.
• Work to raise standards and provide a calm, supportive environment for pupils.
• Support with PPA and release time as HLTA in the afternoon.
