Job summary

Teach Now Limited in Harrow is seeking a confident Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) for a full-time temporary position starting 1 September 2026. You will move between classroom support and leading learning to help pupils make progress across the primary curriculum.

The role requires strong primary-school experience; HLTA status/Level 4 training is highly desirable, with excellent communication and classroom-management skills.

Qualifications

• Strong primary-school experience and the confidence to take responsibility for learning activities with limited supervision.
• HLTA status, Level 4 training or equivalent experience is highly desirable.
• Excellent communication, organisation and classroom-management skills are essential.

Responsibilities

• Leading small-group and whole-class learning when required.
• Delivering focused English and maths interventions.
• Supporting teachers with lesson preparation and assessment.
• Identifying pupils who need additional challenge or support.
• Working closely with children with SEND.
• Promoting independence, confidence and positive learning behaviours.
