Job summary

Supply Desk is partnering with a welcoming primary school in Slough (SL2) to appoint a dedicated HLTA. This full-time position starts ASAP and offers a competitive daily rate and long-term progression opportunities.

You will work with teachers across EYFS to KS2, delivering pre-planned lessons, leading intervention groups, and providing targeted support to raise attainment and help children reach their potential.

Qualifications

• HLTA qualification or significant experience in a similar role.
• Previous experience working within a primary school setting.
• Strong classroom management skills.
• Confidence delivering lessons across multiple year groups.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and use initiative.
• Passion for supporting children's academic and personal development.

Responsibilities

• Deliver pre-planned lessons in the absence of the class teacher.
• Support teaching and learning across EYFS, KS1, and KS2.
• Lead small group and 1:1 interventions to accelerate pupil progress.
• Support pupils with a range of learning needs, including SEND.
• Assist with assessment, recording progress, and providing feedback.
• Promote positive behaviour and maintain high expectations within the classroom.
• Work collaboratively with teachers, SENCOs, and support staff.
• Help create an engaging, inclusive, and supportive learning environment.
• Contribute to the wider life of the school where appropriate.
