Job summary

New Horizons Primary School is seeking a Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join a dedicated and supportive team. You will deliver lessons to cover PPA time, work with teachers to raise attainment, and support pupils to access the curriculum.

You will contribute to classroom and school activities while promoting inclusion and independence. The role requires experience in KS1/KS2, a passion for inclusive education, and strong teamwork with independent working capabilities.

Qualifications

• HLTA qualification would be desirable or the attribute to work towards obtaining this.
• Experience in Key Stage 1 and/or Key Stage 2 is preferred.
• Inclusive education ethos with ability to support all learners.
• A proactive team player with initiative and the ability to work independently.
• Excellent verbal and written communication with a wide range of people.

Responsibilities

• Deliver lessons to cover teacher PPA time and training.
• Work alongside class teachers to raise learning and attainment and promote pupil independence.
• Support individual pupils or small groups to access the curriculum.
• Play a crucial role in classroom-based and wider school activities.
