Job summary

Aspire People is seeking a Higher Level Teaching Assistant to support KS1-KS2 in primary settings across different schools. This is a long-term role starting ASAP with diverse school placements.

You will work 1:1 with SEND pupils, cover lessons when needed, and contribute to inclusive learning environments while building your classroom skills and CV for future opportunities. DBS update service preferred.

Qualifications

• UK degree in Psychology or core subject is required.
• Genuine passion for working with children and young people.
• Willingness to obtain/hold DBS on Update Service and provide references covering last 2 years.
• Flexible, adaptable and patient in a school setting.

Responsibilities

• Support across KS1–KS2 assisting class teachers.
• Work 1:1 with children with SEND to provide personalised learning support.
• Cover lessons when required.
• Lead or assist with small group interventions.
• Support pupils within mainstream school.
• Encourage positive behaviour and develop social and emotional skills.
• Collaborate with teachers, SENCOs, and other staff to create an inclusive learning environment.
