Aspire People is recruiting for a Higher Level Teaching Assistant to take on a lead role within an Inclusion Base at a welcoming primary school in North Manchester.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced HLTA or suitably qualified education professional who is looking for a role with genuine responsibility and the potential to move into a permanent position.

Qualifications

• Qualified HLTA or equivalent higher-level qualification.
• Strong experience in a primary school environment.
• SEND experience is highly desirable.
• Experience with autism, EYFS or specialist settings advantageous.
• Confident leading a team and taking responsibility.
• Strong knowledge of child development and learning.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
• Calm, proactive and nurturing approach.
• Initiative to contribute to provision development.

Responsibilities

• Take responsibility for the day-to-day running of the Inclusion Base.
• Lead and support the TA team within the room.
• Plan and deliver high-quality sessions and activities.
• Support pupils with SEND, autism and communication needs.
• Help pupils develop engagement, independence and communication.
• Support phonics, reading and wider curriculum learning.
• Work closely with the teacher to adapt learning and provision.
• Monitor and record pupil progress.
• Support positive behaviour and emotional regulation.
• Create a safe, nurturing environment.
• Contribute to the development of specialist provision.

North Manchester | Full-Time | Term-Time Only | Potential Permanent Contract | Aspire People

Aspire People are recruiting for a Higher Level Teaching Assistant to take on a lead role within an Inclusion Base at a welcoming primary school in North Manchester.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced HLTA or suitably qualified education professional who is looking for a role with genuine responsibility and the potential to move into a permanent position.

You will become a consistent member of the Inclusion Base team, helping to lead the provision and supporting a small group of pupils with additional needs.

The Role:

• Taking responsibility for the day-to-day running of the Inclusion Base
• Leading and supporting the TA team within the room
• Planning and delivering high-quality sessions and activities
• Supporting pupils with SEND, autism and communication needs
• Helping pupils develop engagement, independence and communication
• Supporting phonics, reading and wider curriculum learning
• Working closely with the teacher to adapt learning and provision
• Monitoring and recording pupil progress
• Supporting positive behaviour and emotional regulation
• Creating a safe, nurturing and engaging environment
• Supporting pupils with personal care where required
• Contributing to the development of specialist provision

We Are Looking For:

• A qualified HLTA or candidate with an equivalent higher-level qualification
• Strong experience within a primary school environment
• SEND experience is highly desirable
• Experience with autism, EYFS or specialist settings would be advantageous
• Confident leading a team and taking responsibility
• Strong knowledge of child development and learning
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
• Calm, proactive and nurturing approach
• Someone who can use initiative and bring ideas to the development of the provision

ECTs with an equivalent level of qualification and relevant experience may also be considered, particularly those looking to develop their SEND and specialist provision experience.

The Opportunity:

• 37.5 hours per week
• Term-time only
• Long-term role through Aspire People
• Potential to be offered a permanent school contract after 12 weeks if both the candidate and school are happy with the placement
