Job summary

Aspire People is recruiting experienced Higher Level Teaching Assistants to work across primary schools in the Manchester area. The role offers long-term, daily supply, and potential permanent opportunities.

As an HLTA, you will lead learning, support teachers, and work with pupils across year groups, including those with SEND. Strong behaviour management and a good grasp of the primary curriculum are essential.

Qualifications

• HLTA qualification or strong equivalent experience.
• Recent experience in a UK primary school.
• Confident leading learning and supporting whole classes.

Responsibilities

Aspire People are recruiting experienced Higher Level Teaching Assistants to work across a range of primary schools. We have opportunities available for candidates looking for long-term positions, daily supply, or a role that could lead to a permanent opportunity.

This is an ideal opportunity for an experienced HLTA who is confident taking responsibility for learning, supporting teachers, and working with pupils across different year groups.

The Role:

• Supporting teaching and learning across EYFS, KS1 and KS2
• Delivering lessons, interventions and small-group activities
• Providing PPA and class cover where required
• Supporting pupils with SEND and additional needs
• Helping to manage behaviour and maintain a positive learning environment
• Working alongside class teachers and senior leaders
• Monitoring pupil progress and providing feedback
• Taking responsibility for the classroom when required

The Ideal Candidate:

• Holds an HLTA qualification or has strong equivalent experience
• Recent experience working within a UK primary school
• Confident leading learning and supporting whole classes
• Strong classroom and behaviour management skills
• Good understanding of the primary curriculum
• Flexible, reliable and confident working across different year groups
