Job summary

Wath Victoria Primary School in Rotherham is seeking an HLTA to support teaching and learning across the Integrated Resource and wider school. You will plan, prepare and deliver activities, assess progress and provide pastoral and academic support to pupils, including those with SEND.

You will work under teachers, promote inclusive practice and support families while liaising with external professionals. A strong understanding of the National Curriculum and EYFS is essential.

Qualifications

• Holds HLTA status and meets the HLTA Standards.
• Has experience in supporting children's learning, including those with SEND - specifically Autism.
• Demonstrates strong communication, organisational and ICT skills.
• Understands safeguarding, equality and child development.
• Brings a flexible, empathetic and proactive approach to working with children and staff.
• Has a strong understanding of the National Curriculum and EYFS Framework.
• Has experience working with children in a school setting.
• Is empathetic, patient, and committed to inclusive education.

Responsibilities

• Deliver whole class, group and individual teaching under the direction of a teacher.
• Support pupils across all phases of the curriculum, modifying work to meet their needs.
• Promote positive behaviour and inclusion.
• Liaise with families and external professionals as needed.
• Provide guidance and support to other teaching assistants.
