Job summary

Protocol Education is recruiting for a confident and experienced Higher Level Teaching Assistant to join a school in South Shields. You will support pupils with learning and additional needs, deliver engaging activities and work with staff to maintain an inclusive classroom.

You will assist with whole-class and small-group activities, manage behaviour with initiative, and be reliable and adaptable. This is a contract position with competitive daily rates.

Qualifications

• Experience working as a TA or HLTA.
• Level 3 qualification preferred.
• Confident supporting whole-class and small-group activities.
• Strong classroom and behaviour management skills.
• Be comfortable taking initiative within the classroom.
• Experience supporting pupils with additional needs.
• Reliable, adaptable and professional.

Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging learning activities in collaboration with teaching staff.
• Support individuals and groups of pupils to access learning.
• Help maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
