Job summary

Protocol Education is recruiting a full-time Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) for a specialist SEND school in North Shields. You will lead planned interventions, deliver small-group sessions and support pupils with SEND needs.

You’ll monitor progress, provide classroom cover when required and help promote independence and engagement across the learning day. All applicants will require the appropriate qualifications and safeguarding checks.

• Previous classroom experience and ability to lead learning activities.
• Organised, proactive and patient approach.
• Calm, adaptable and confident communicator.
• Qualified HLTA with relevant safeguarding training.

You’ll play a key role in creating engaging learning experiences while supporting teachers and helping pupils reach their individual targets.
