Job summary

Protocol Education is recruiting for a confident and experienced Higher Level Teaching Assistant to join a school in South Shields. You will support pupils with learning and additional needs, deliver engaging activities and work with staff to maintain an inclusive classroom.

You will assist with whole-class and small-group activities, manage behaviour with initiative, and be reliable and adaptable. This is a contract position with competitive daily rates.

Qualifications

• Experience working as a TA or HLTA.

We are currently recruiting for a confident and experienced Higher Level Teaching Assistant to join a school in South Shields.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced TA or HLTA who is ready to take on additional responsibility within the classroom and support pupils with a range of learning and additional needs.

You will work closely with teaching staff to deliver engaging learning activities, support individuals and groups of pupils and help maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment.

The successful candidate will:

• Have previous experience working as a TA or HLTA
• Ideally hold a relevant Level 3 qualification
• Be confident supporting whole-class and small-group activities
• Have strong classroom and behaviour management skills
• Be comfortable taking initiative within the classroom
• Have experience supporting pupils with additional needs
• Be reliable, adaptable and professional

Working hours:

• MondayFriday
• 8:30am4:30pm
• Full-time position
