Job summary

Flourish Education are recruiting for a Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to support a partner primary school in Kingswinford. The role runs 8:30am–3:30pm, 5 days a week, with mornings Year 3 and afternoons Year 5.

You will cover classes, deliver pre-planned lessons, and run small group interventions to aid pupil progress, working alongside teachers in a positive, inclusive environment.

Qualifications

• HLTA qualification or relevant HLTA-level experience in a UK primary school.
• Experience supporting pupils in KS2, especially Years 3 and 5.
• Confidently covering classes and delivering pre-planned lessons independently.
• Experience delivering small group interventions and supporting pupils with varying learning needs.
• Strong classroom management and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide classroom support in KS2 (Year 3 mornings, Year 5 afternoons).
• Cover classes and deliver pre-planned lessons when the teacher is absent.
• Lead small group activities and targeted interventions to support pupil progress.

Job description

Flourish Education are recruiting for a Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to work at one of our partner primary schools in Kingswinford. This is a full-time position starting as soon as possible and is ongoing, with working hours of 8:30am to 3:30pm.

The school requires an experienced and confident HLTA to provide classroom support across Key Stage 2, working with Year 3 pupils in the mornings and Year 5 pupils in the afternoons. Responsibilities will include covering classes when required, delivering small group interventions and supporting pupils with their learning and development.

As a Higher Level Teaching Assistant, you will be responsible for:

• Providing classroom support within Year 3 in the mornings and Year 5 in the afternoons.
• Covering classes and delivering pre-planned lessons in the absence of the class teacher.
• Leading small group activities and targeted interventions to support pupil progress.
• Supporting children with different learning abilities and adapting activities to meet individual needs.
• Working collaboratively with teaching staff to maintain a positive and engaging classroom environment.

Required Skills and Experience as a Higher Level Teaching Assistant:

• HLTA qualification or relevant experience working at HLTA level within a UK primary school.
• Previous experience supporting pupils within Key Stage 2, particularly Year 3 and Year 5.
• Confidence covering classes and delivering pre-planned lessons independently.
• Experience delivering small group interventions and supporting pupils with varying learning needs.
• Strong classroom management, communication and organisational skills.

Working as a Higher Level Teaching Assistant for Flourish Education also offers you excellent benefits, including:

• £100.00 to £120.00 per day, equating to £19,500 to £23,400 per annum based on working 5 days a week for a full school year (195 days), dependent on experience and days worked.
